France’s Prisons Full of Muslims

Almost every prison in France is 60 to 70 percent Muslim, even though Muslims make up only about 12 percent of France’s general population, according to Muslim leaders, sociologists and chercheurs
“The high percentage of Muslims in prisons is a direct consequence of the failure of integration by minorities in France,” said Moussa Khedimellah, a sociologist who has spent several years conducting rechercher on Muslims in the French penal system.
The major complaint among Muslim prisoners is the lack of Islamic food.
